I was interviewed today for a podcast. It was quite a different experience to the kinds of interviews I've done in the past. The podcast series features open conversations with artists about their career paths and what has influenced them along the way. The conversation drifted to my relationship with my Dad as the interviewer had seen the short film I made for him shortly after he passed away. I hadn't really spoken about that little film or what it means to me and it really dug up some things for me. It allowed me to really consider his influence on me as both a filmmaker / photographer and as a father both good and bad and it felt good to be that open and honest about something very close to my heart. Brunswick, VIC.
